Political attacks are common when campaigning and throughout my political career I have been targeted numerous times. On October 10, 2024, the Messenger Papers, including Brookhaven, Smithtown and Islip papers, published an article containing false and defamatory allegations as part of a malicious political campaign attack against me. Following formal notice of potential legal action, the publication agreed to issue my full rebuttal, which appeared on November 6, 2025.
